1 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. green pepper, chopped
2 cups corn (fresh or frozen)
2 eggs
1/2 lb. cheddar, grated
1/4 tsp. flour
1/2 tsp. sale
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. sugar
dash nutmeg
2 Tbsp. melted butter
2 cups half and half

Directions:

Lightly grease 1 1/2 quart shallow baking dish. Saute green pepper 2 minutes. Preheat over to 325.

Combine corn, eggs, pepper, and cheese.

Combine next five ingredients (dry) and add to mixture.

Add butter and half&half. Mix well. Pour into prepared dish. Set baking dish in a pan. Pour hot water to 1" depth around baking dish.

Bake uncovered 1 hour and 10 minutes or until custard is firm and knife inserted comes out clean.

Serve hot -- serves 8.

You may add sliced green pepper or Italian tomatoes on top before it goes in oven for decoration.
