Ingredients:  
• Loaf of French bread
• Monterey Jack cheese, grated
• Pesto (recipe in the Sauces and Rubs section, or the kind in a jar)

Directions:
Directions:
• Cut the bread in half lengthwise
• In a bowl, mix grated cheese with pesto. One cup of cheese to one tablespoon of pesto is about right.
• Place under broiler on a cookie sheet
• Watch closely. Remove when the cheese is bubbly, but before the bread gets too dark.
• Cut in individual pieces.
• Serve with dinner or as an appetizer
