Ingredients:  
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup Crisco Oil
• 3 eggs at room temperature
• 2 small jars plum baby food (really)
• 2 cups self-rising flour
• 1 ¼ t ground cloves
• 1 ¼ t cinnamon
• ¾ cup chopped nuts (I like pecans in this)

Glaze Ingredients
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• Lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
• Preheat oven to 325º
• Mix oil and sugar well
• Beat in eggs one at a time
• Add baby food
• Mix well
• Sift together the dry ingredients
• Add to the mixture and mix well
• Stir in the nuts
• Put in a greased Bundt or tube pan
• Bake for 1 hour
• Cool 10 minutes and turn out on a rack
• Drizzle the glaze over the cake while the cake is still warm
• Transfer to a serving plate

Glaze direction
• Put powdered sugar in a small bowl
• Add lemon juice a little at a time
• Mix with a fork or small whisk until you have a drizzling consistency (not too thin)

I got this in the late 1970s from my boss’s wife. She was a master baker. Her RULE was that eggs and milk should come to room temperature and dry ingredients should be sifted and mixed well BEFORE adding to a batter...
