2 cups hot water
1 cup white sugar
2 heaping tbsp. cornstarch
juice of 1 lemon
Bring the hot water and sugar to boil and add the cornstarch which has been dissolved in the lemon juice. Cook 2-3 minutes. When cool fold into well beaten whites of 2 eggs.

Sauce: Beat 2 egg yolks slightly 1 1/2 cups milk 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Cook in double boiler till slightly thick. Cool and serve over the lemon mixture.
