1 lb. bag Oreo cookies
1/2 c. margarine, melted
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 c. sugar
1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
1/2 c. margarine
8 oz. Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Crush Oreo cookies and reserve 1 c. of crumbs. Mix 1/2 c. of melted margarine with the crushed Oreos. Press into a 9x13" pan. Chill. Spread softened ice cream over the cookie crust. Freeze.

Chocolate Sauce:
Boil remaining ingredients except Cool Whip for 10-15 minutes or until thick. Cool. Spread over ice cream. Freeze. Spread Cool Whip over the chocolate layer and sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs over the top. Freeze. Keep frozen until 15 minutes before serving.

Other ice cream flavors may be used. Butter Pecan is a favorite. I usually add chopped pecans to the top along with the Oreo crumbs. Also, mint chocolate chip ice cream is good.
