1 lb of diced pork
6 diced sausage
¼ cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove diced
1 cup long grain white rice
2 cups of water
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 chicken bouillon tablet
½ tablespoon soya sauce
½ cup peas
½ cup chopped carrots
½ cup chopped green beans
6 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper
½ cup tomato sauce
1 tablespoon mix Sazon (you can find Sazon in Chinese Supermarkets and Walmart)

1. In a medium pot, heat oil (2 tablespoons) over medium-high heat. Add the onion, tomato paste, soya sauce, bay leaf, garlic and mix Sazon. Cook for about 4 minutes.
2. Add pork and sausage and cook for 2 minutes. Add the bouillon tablet, peas, carrots, and green beans, stir for 6 minutes.
3. Add the rice, water, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and oil (4 tablespoons) and then reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes.
4. Serve and enjoy!

This is a traditional dish that is used in Colombia on Christmas or New Year’s Day when the family, friends, and loved ones gather together. It is a time to reflect on the many blessings and gifts you've received through the year. We enjoy this meal with other food. After everyone has finished eating, the dancing begins. At midnight on Christmas, there is a gift exchange among family and friends.
