6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
1/3 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons water
3/4 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Grease a deep baking dish, ( 1 1/2 quart size ). Arrange apples in bottom. Sprinkle with 1/3 cup white sugar, lemon juice and water. Combine oats, flour, and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle crumbs over the fruit. Bake at 375 F for about 35 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
