Bellino Instant Polenta (17.6 oz. package)
1 cup pecorino romano cheese for each package of polenta

Hot Italian Sausage
1 can crushed tomatoes (1 can per pound of sausage)
1/2 lb of baby bella mushrooms for each lb of sausage
garlic, salt and pepper
Olive oil to make gravy
Directions:
Directions:
Remove sausage from casing and fry in olive oil. Add mushrooms and finish frying. Add cans of crushed tomatoes per poundage of sausage, season with salt, pepper and garlic. Make instant polenta per package instructions, adding a little extra water for addition of cheese. Stir until smooth. (Polenta can be baked and/or fried in bricks is mush style is not preferred.)

Dad's request for his 88th birthday dinner - the "national" event that 34 of us celebrated. For this event we used 6 pounds of sausage and added 8 pounds of meatballs and a 6 pound pork roast!
