4 tbsp olive oil
¼ tsp mince dehydrated onion
1 large can (15 oz) Hunt's tomato sauce or
½ quart cooked or crushed tomato
15 oz can peas or frozen peas
½ lb tubette or ditallini pasta
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown onion in oil. Add tomato sauce and 1/2 can water or cooked tomatoes, peas drained, salt and pepper. Stir and cook half covered on medium for 20-30 minutes.
Meanwhile cook and drain pasta.
Mix with sauce and serve.

Mom always used dehydrated onion, in fact I don't think I ever saw her chop a real onion except for Genovese and beans oreganato. Fresh cooked tomatoes is also fabulous with this instead of canned tomato sauce, fresh and sweet.
