Orange Cookies Recipe

c butter
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
c orange juice
1 Tbsp orange zest
1 tsp vanilla
1 c milk mixture (to make add 1 tsp lemon juice to 1 c skim milk)
4 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
tsp salt

Orange butter frosting:
1/3 c butter
4 c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla or orange juice
2 Tbsp milk
2 tsp orange zest

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together butter, shortening, and brown sugar. Beat in eggs, orange juice, orange peel, vanilla and milk mixture. Add dry ingredients to cream mixture until completely combined. Place cookies on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 min. Let cool.
