2/3 c. margarine or butter
1 c. brown sugar or 3/4 c. molasses
1/2 c. granulated or turbinado sugar
1/3 c. applesauce or apple butter
3 eggs
2 sweet apples, chopped fine
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 c. walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the first three ingredients.

To above mixture, slowly mix in, 1/2 cup at a time, till dough becomes a very stiff, sticky ball:
1 c. whole wheat flour
All purpose flour as needed - apx. 2 c.

Drop by tablespoon onto cookie sheet. These cookies will *not* melt and flatten, so be sure to flatten them with a spoon before baking. Bake at 375 until golden brown.
