1 c. butter, softened
2 c. flour (less 2 tablespoons)
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
3/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. cardamom
pinch of salt
1 c. confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except 1/4 cup of the confectioners' sugar. Mix with a spoon, fork or fingers. Roll into 1" balls and place 2" apart on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 º for 20 minutes. Remove immediately from the cookie sheet. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar just before serving. These will keep in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks (but they generally don't last long at all because they're so delicious!).
