2 lbs calamari - cleaned
3 T oil

Tomato Mixture:
1 onion - chopped
1 can peeled tomatoes - 14 1/2 oz
salt & pepper

Bread Crumb Mixture:
1 1/2 C bread crumbs
1 T grated parmesan
3 cloves minced garlic
1 T parsley
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper



Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion. Add tomatoes (crushed) and salt and pepper. Cook slowly 1/2 hour.
Dip each piece of calamari in oil and then bread crumbs. Place in oiled shallow pan and bake 15 minutes at 325. Spread tomato mixture evenly over calamari. Bake another 1/2 hour at 325 until tender.
Serve over steamed rice.
