1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. soda in 1 c. sour milk
2 cups and 1 tbsp flour
3 cups rhubarb, cut fine
1/4 cup colored candy sprinkles

Topping:
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup nut meats
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Bake for 45 minutes. Mix topping and put on cake and bake. The original recipe doesn't say for how long but probably just a few minutes.
