1/3 cup margarine
2 T cocoa
1/3 cup hot water
1½ cups sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/8 t salt
½ cup evaporated milk
1 t vanilla
1 cup pecan halves
1 pie shell (uncooked 9”)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven and baking sheet to 350º. Melt margarine in medium saucepan and remove from heat, add cocoa and hot water. Stir until dissolved. Blend in sugar, flour, salt, milk and vanilla with wire whisk or large spoon. Stir until batter is smooth. Mix in pecans and pour into pie shell. Bake about 45 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Cool and top with whipped topping. Chill about 2-3 hours.
