3 cups sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
¼ cup light corn syrup
½ cup water
3 T margarine
2 t vanilla
½ t salt
½ cup chopped cherries or nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients and mix well. Heat, stirring constantly to boiling, then cook rapidly to soft ball stage. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool until lukewarm. Beat 2-3 minutes. Spread in buttered pan 8”x8”x2”. Let stand several minutes until set. Cut into squares.
