3 egg whites
½ tsp. vanilla
1 c. granulated sugar
2 c. corn flakes
½ c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. shortening
1 3½-oz can (1 1/3 cups) flaked coconut
2 1-oz squares semisweet chocolate
Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites with dash salt and vanilla to soft peaks; gradually add sugar; beat stiff. Stir in cereal, coconut, and nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto well-greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 350º for 18-20 minutes. Remove cookies immediately. If they stick to pan, return to oven to soften. Melt chocolate and shortening together; drizzle atop cookies. Makes 3½ dozen.
