½ cup shortening,
1 cup sugar,
2 eggs,
½ pint sour cream,
1 tsp vanilla.

DRY INGREDIENTS
Sift 2 cups flour,
½ tsp salt,
1 tsp baking soda,
1 tsp baking powder,
¼ cup sugar,
1 cup chopped walnuts,
1 tsp. Cinnamon.

Chop nuts and mix with sugar and cinnamon.
In layers add nut mixture to cake mixture, leaving some for the top.

Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, sour cream and vanilla well.

Then add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
