1 1/2lbs Ground Beef
Large Onion
1 large can tomato sauce
1 large can diced tomatoes (I used the kind with Italian seasoning already in it)
1 large can tomato paste (fill the can full of water and add that to the sauce)
1 TBL oregeno
1 TBL sweet basil
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder, or several cloves of fresh garlic
1 large can sliced mushrooms, or you can use fresh mushrooms

brown 1 1/2 lbs hamburger and add 1 diced onion halfway through browning. Add all following ingredients to browned sauce.

Simmer all of this together for about 1 1/2 hours, or you can put in a large crock pot on low for about 5 hours, or high for about 3 hours.

Add 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese when all done and mix through sauce well. This makes a pretty large amount, and you can freeze part of it if you want. It freezes really well.
