2- 3 LBS LEAN HANBURGER MEAT
1 MEDIUM ONION, CHOPPED
2 STALKS CELERY
1/2 GREEN PEPPER (1 WHOLE, IF SMALL)
5 CUPS MASHED POTATOES
1 CAN 12 OZ TOMATO PASTE
12 OZ CHEDDAR OR AMERICAN CHEESE
1 TSP GARLIC
1 TSP ONION POWDER
1 1/2 TSP OREGANO
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
1/4 CUP WATER

STEP 1. CUT UP CELERY AND ONION TO BITE SIZE PIECES, SAUTE IN A LITTLE OIL UNTIL ONION IS TRANSLUCENT. REMOVE VEGETABLES, ADD HAMBURGER AND COOK UNTIL DONE. DRAIN GREASE AND RETURN HAMBURGER TO PAN WITH THE CELERY AND ONION. ADD ALL SPICES AND 1/4 CUP WATER. LET SIMMER FOR 10 MIN. ADD TOMATO PASTE AND MIX WELL.

STEP 2. INSTANT POTATOES WORK BEST WITH THIS RECIPE SINCE IT IS A QUICK MEAL FOR AN ENTIRE FAMILY. MAKE POTATO'S ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS, APPROXIMATELY 5 CUPS. A TBL OF MAYONAISE WILL MAKE THEM RICH IN FLAVOR AND VERY FEW KNOW WHY YOUR POTATOES ARE SO GREAT! IN A CASSEROLE DISH, PLACE THE MEAT MIXTURE ON THE BOTTOM, COVER WITH POTATOES AND TOP WITH THE CHEESE. BAKE IN 350 OVEN FOR 20 MIN, OR YOU CAN USE A MICROWAVE UNTIL CHEES MELTS IF YOU PREFER.
