4 Tablespoons cocoa
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shortening (crisco)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla (never use imitation)
Directions:
Directions:
Mix cocoa, sugar, & saslt in pan - then add milk slowly - use a whisk to blend. Add vanilla, mix well then put in shortening.

Bring to a boil over low heat stirring constantly.
Boil gently (and I do mean gently - no roaring flame here) for one minute
Remove from heat
Beat until thick
Pour over warm cake
