2 gallons cucumbers, sliced
1 c. lime
1 large bottle red food coloring
1 tbsp. alum
SYRUP:
5 pounds sugar
2 c. vinegar
2 c. water
1 c. cinnamon candies
8 cinnamon sticks

Directions:
Directions:
Cover the sliced cucumbers with water and lime. Soak for 24 hours.
Pour off and rinse well.
Cover with water, 1 c. vinegar, alum, food coloring. Bring to a boil and simmer 2 hours. Drain and pack into jars.
Syrup: Boil until thick. Pour over cucumbers in jar and seal.
