1st layer:

1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup melted butter
1 cup chopped pecans


2nd layer:

1-8oz pkg. cream cheese (softened)
2 cups Blacked-eyed peas (drained and mashed)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup Cool Whip

3rd layer:

1 family sized pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
1 tsp. Almond Extract

Directions:
Directions:
1st. layer:
Combine flour, butter and pecans. Press mixture into a 9x13 baking dish, bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees or until golden brown. Set aside to cool.

2nd layer:
Mash peas until completely soft, (may use food processor). Combime with cream cheese, sugar and cool whip. Blend all ingredients together well. Pour over coold crust.

3rd layer:
Prepare pudding by package directions using 1/2 cup less milk, add almond extract, mix well and pour over layer 2.

Top with cool whip and pecan halves or chopped.
