1/3 C butter or margarine, softened
2/3 C sugar
2 eggs
2 T milk
1 3/4 C flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 C mashed ripe banana
1 C Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

Heat oven to 350º. Lightly grease 8x4x2 inch loaf pan. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl on medium speed of mixer until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add milk; beat until blended. Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; add alternately with banana to butter mixture, beating until smooth after each addition. Gently fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 60-65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely. For easier slicing, wrap in foil and store overnight.
