5 eggs
2-1/2 cups sugar
5 cups milk
4 cups light cream
2 TBSP vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Beat eggs until light. Add sugar gradually, beating until mixture thickens. Add remaining ingredients; mix thoroughly. Freeze in ice cream freezer.

Coffee Variation: add 1/4 cup instant coffee
Fruit Variation: add 1 cup fruit per quart (sweetened)
Choc. Chip Variation: Chop semi-sweet chips in nut chopper, separate chips from powder that is formed in the process and add to ice cream to taste.
