12 chicken pieces (best with drumsticks and thighs)
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. oil
1 small yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 6 oz. cans tomato paste
4 cups hot water
1 tsp. powdered thyme
1/2 tsp. ground oregano
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup white wine

Directions:
Directions:
Coat chicken with flour, salt and pepper. Brown in hot oil in a large skillet. (May be done in two batches or two pans) Remove chicken to a covered plate. Saute onion, garlic and mushrooms in drippings for three minutes over medium heat.

In a saucepan, combine tomato paste with remaining ingredients to create sauce. Heat to boiling. Return chicken to skillet and pour sauce over all chicken pieces. Stir well. Cover and simmer on low heat for one hour.

Served with spaghetti and garnished with black olives.
