1/4 C butter
1 C raw wild rice
1/2 C chopped onion
3/4 C chopped celery
1/4 C chopped carrot
1 C sliced mushrooms
3 C chicken broth
1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
salt and pepper to taste

1/4 C toasted almonds (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large heavy skillet. saute wild rice, onion, celery, carrots, and mushrooms until vegetables are godlen brown. Add chicken brother and poultry seasoning. cover and simmer for 30 - 40 minutes, until rice is tender.

Toast almonds in single layer on baking sheet - 350 degree oven, stirring occasionally, for 10 - 15 minutes.
