11 cups well water
2 cups vinegar
1/2 cups pickling salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil for 3 minutes and cool completely. Line bottom of 2 to 2-1/2 gallon ice cream pail with dill. Slice or spear the cukes. Put in pail.

Add:

4 TBSP pickling spice
4 TBSP crushed red pepper
3 whole heads of garlic, sliced

Pour brine over cukes. Put dill on top. COVER - set on cupboard for 24 hours, then refrigerate. The pickles keep a long time in frig.
