Crust: About 40 crushed Crackers or Cookies, 1 stick of butter or margarine. 9x13 pan.
Filling: 2 boxes instant pudding; 1/2 gal. ice cream (use opposite flavors, eg.: vanilla pudding w/chocolate ice cream or vice versa, otherwise vanilla is fine w/fancy flavors); 1 large or 2 small containers of cool whip.

Crust: Melt butter, mix crackers/cookies and flatten in baking pan, bake at 350º for 10 to 20 minutes, then cool.
Filling: Melt ice cream. Thaw cool whip and mix well. Mix 2 boxes of instant pudding with 1 1/4 c. of water. Once mixed, fold in melted ice cream and pour into cooled crust. Spread cool whip onto ice cream and place in freezer until harden. Remove from freezer 10-15 minutes before serving.
