2 lbs chopped venison or beef (ground meat)
- 1 can (16 oz) BBQ beans
- 1 large onion diced
- 1 clove garlic (crushed)
- 1/2 tsp ground oregano
- 1/2 tsp cumin seed
- 3 tsp chili powder (more to taste)
- 1 can (10 oz) rotel
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce w/tomato bits
- 1 C hot water
- 2 tbl shortening
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat lightly. Add seasoning & tomatoes. Add hot water and simmer slowly for 1 - 2 hours. Let cool and skim off fat. Add beans near end. (Use less water for crock pot).
