Ingredients: |
Ingredients: 2 large Granny Smith Apples 2 cans Pillsbury crescent rolls 2 sticks butter 2 cups sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. cinnamon 10 ounces Mountain Dew Soda

Directions: |
Directions:Peel and core apples, then cut in to 8 wedges per apple. (16 in all). Unroll crescent rolls. Put one apple wedge in each crescent roll and roll up. (Rolling from the big end to the small end will be easier-but don't worry to much about how they look-just get the dough wrapped somewhat around each apple wedge.) Place each roll in a buttered 13 x 9 baking pan. In a medium saucepan heat butter just until melted. Add sugar, spices, and vanilla. Mix until ingredients are combined well-you made need to use a whisk. Spoon this sugar mixture over the top of each dumpling. Pour Mountain Dew around the dumplings but avoid pouring directly over them if possible. No need to mix the Mountain Dew in-just let it sit there. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350º. Then cover with foil and cook an additional 10 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream. |

Notes: I can bribe Tony to do just about anything for me with these dumplings. He'll even clean his room for them!
