1 cup soy sauce
1 cup sake, dry sherry, or vermouth
¼ cup cooking oil
1 tsp. sugar
½ tsp. grated gingerroot, or ground ginger
A bunch of chicken (I think thighs are best, but you could use whatever you like)

Combine marinade ingredients; put chicken in a gallon Ziploc bag; pour marinade over; double bag, if necessary. Put in refrigerator for several hours or overnight (the longer, the better). For best results, grill chicken on the barbecue (but you could also bake it).
