4 cups apples
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ cup walnuts, chopped
1 cup flour
¾ tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
3 tsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Peel the apples and slice them thin. Place them in a 9" round, well-buttered baking dish. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the apples, then the walnuts. In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Set it aside. In another bowl, combine the egg, water, evaporated milk, and melted butter. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture, then mix until smooth. Pour this batter over the apples.

Bake at 325° for about 1 hour (or until golden).
