Very ripe black plantains, no green or yellow markings.
Butter for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and slice the plantains on a diagonal. Heat butter and lightly brown on both sides. The plantains should be served hot and they should be sweet and delicious.

These are a substitute for tostones on a Puerto Rican dish. It all depends if you prefer salty or sweet.
