1 c. marsala (my family used black coffee)
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. sugar

In a coffee cup mix the egg yolk and sugar and beat well. Add the marsala and blend well. Black coffee has been substituted for the Marsala in this family and we drink it right out of the coffee cup.

I remember drinking this as a kid early in the morning at Nonna's house, when the first pot of coffee was ready. It was very tasty.
