Yolks of 4 eggs
1 C sugar
3 T water
1 tsp baking powder
1 C flour
4 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Beat yolks until lemon colored.
Add water and sugar gradually.
Add flour and baking powder.
Add beaten egg whites.
Bake 15 min in a dripper pan at 350º
When cooled, cut in squares and ice on all sides with the following:

1/4 lb butter with enough powdered sugar beaten in to make a stiff frosting.

Roll frosted squares in ground peanuts until thoroughly covered.

This is Mary Hartman's famous recipe -- it is tedious and messy to make, but she always made it when we were coming to visit, since she knew it was Dan's favorite treat.
