6 Fuji apples, peeled and chopped
2 cups fresh cranberries (one bag)
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 cup granulated sugar

Topping:
1 1/3 cups Oats, uncooked
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted

Optional:
Top with heavy whipping cream or ice cream.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Combine the apples and cranberries in a lightly greased, 13" x 9" baking dish (you can vary this smaller if you wish). Sprinkle with lemon juice and top with granulated sugar.

Combine the oats, nuts, brown sugar, and melted butter. Stir mixture just until dry ingredients are moistened and mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over the fruit. Bake at 325º F. for one hour. Serve warm plain or with optional topping.
