24 oz. canned garbanzo beans
6 cloves garlic
1 sliced carrot
2 T. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 T. tahini
2 T. chopped basil

Directions:
Directions:
Place beans, including liquid from cans, garlic, carrot, cumin and cayenne pepper in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer. Cook until carrots are soft and most of the liquid is reduced. Place in food processor with lemon juice and tahini. Process until smooth.
Cool, stir in basil, refrigerate.
Serve with warm pita bread, carrots, pita crisps or water crackers.
