l large onion, finely chopped
1 T. bacon drippings or butter
1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 10-oz. can tomatoes and green chiles
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1 tsp. ground cumin
3/4 cup Texas pecans, chopped
salt to taste
corn chips or tostados

Directions:
Directions:
Brown onions in fat. Add beef and brown, stirring to break up. Drain off drippings. Add garlic, cloves, cinnamon, tomatoes and sugar. Add raisins and cumin; simmer, covered, 20 minutes. Add pecans and simmer 20 more minutes. Salt to taste. Serve hot in a chafing dish with corn chips.
