2 T unflavored gelatin
1/4 C cold water
1 No.2 can crushed pineapple
1 c sugar
2 8-oz packages cream cheese
2 lbs seedless grapes, halved
Small bottle maraschin cherries, chopped.
1 pint heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
Soften gelatin in cold water.
Heat pineapple with sugar and add softened gelatin. Cool slightly.
Mash cream cheese with fork and mix in well.
Add grapes and cherries.
Whip the cream and fold in.
Mold in flat pan overnight.
Cut in squares and serve on lettuce.

I got this from my first mother-in-law, Mary Hartman. It was a tradition in the Hartman family as Dan was growing up.

It's very rich and almost a dessert rather than a salad. (But you can put a square of chocolate on a lettuce leaf and call it salad...)
