2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 egg yolk
milk added to yolk to make 2/3 cup
1 c. crushed corn flakes
6 large apples
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamin
1 beaten egg white

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and salt, cut in shortening. Add liquid slowly and don't work the dough too much. Divide dough in half. Roll out half to fit a 15/10 pan. Press up on sides. Sprinkle crushed corn flakes over the bottom crust. Add pealed and sliced apples, sugar and cinnamin. Roll and fit remaining dough on top. Press edges together. Brush with beaten egg white and bake 355º for 1 hour. If desired, glaze while warm with powdered sugar icing (I like to add almond flavoring).
