Directions:
Sit down w/family. Discuss upcoming week and let the child choose one day/or two to plan/help plan a family meal. Pick out a recipe and write down ingredients needed for the meal. Go to the Grocery Store w/mom and let the child find the items and check out. When the assigned day comes up make it a special time w/the child letting them do the "kid" work while parents supervise; remember to have FUN!

This was a weekly occurence for me as a child. I always enjoyed it because I always knew there'd be a couple days out of the week that we'd have something for dinner that I loved including pizza Fridays. I also got to spend one-on-one time with my mom and felt proud when the rest of the family enjoyed the meal I chose.
