2 cups sliced peaches
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
4 Tbs butter
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tbs cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup boiling water
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Place peaches in a 8" X 8" X 2" baking pan. Combine the 3/4 cup sugar, milk, butter baking powder and flour. Pour over peaches. Mix 1 cup sugar with cornstarch and salt. Sift this mixture over the batter. Pour 1 cup boiling water over all. Bake at 325ºF for 50 minutes. Serve plain or with ice cream.
