½ cup butter
1 7 oz. can diced or whole green chilies (or more to taste)
1 lb. shredded cheddar cheese
4 large eggs
¾ tsp salt
2 cups milk
1 cup Bisquick mix

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Melt butter in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Arrange chilies in a layer on bottom of dish and cover with cheese. Blend eggs, salt, milk and Bisquick. Pour over cheese. Bake for 40 – 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Options: Add crumbled cooked bacon, cooked ham or sausage on top of the cheese layer. Serve with mild salsa and sour cream.

This recipe is a tradition in our family for every Christmas and Easter morning. I have also served it for brunches with friends. It takes 10 minutes to throw together and it is best when served straight from the oven. It smells good while cooking and everyone will be waiting to pounce on it when you serve it.
