1/8 tsp. thyme
1/8 tsp. curry
1/4 tsp. cumin
1 to 1 1/2 Tbs. chili powder
2 Tbs. brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1 large bay leaf
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 cloves, whole stem
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1 quart stewed tomatoes
1/2 quart water (more as needed)
1 - 7oz package elbow macaroni

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in a heavy skillet. Add chopped onion, garlic, celery, green pepper, and sauté until onions wilt, or appear translucent. Add all the other ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook about 20 minutes or until macaroni is soft. Stir several times to prevent sticking.

Find clove stems and bay leaf, remove before eating. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
