Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Crust:
2 egg whites
½ tsp salt
¼ cup sugar
1 ½ cups finely chopped walnuts
Filling:
1 gallon vanilla ice cream
1 gallon of your choice – pralines and cream, caramel swirl or butter toffee (don’t use chocolate)
3 Heath bars – crushed
Caramel Topping: (This is the best part and I usually double it)
2 T butter
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup heavy whipping cream
½ tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Crust:
You will need a medium size spring form cheesecake pan (the kind you can remove the sides from).
Beat egg whites until stiff and gradually add sugar until peaks form. Fold in walnuts. Butter pan and spread mixture on the bottom of the pan and up the sides a bit. Bake at 400° for about 10 minutes until a little golden brown. Cool.
Filling:
Let both gallons of ice cream set out to soften them up a bit. Spread on layer at a time over cooled crust and fill almost to the top of the pan. Top with the Heath bar bits. Freeze for at least 2 hours.
Topping:
Stirring constantly, melt butter and sugar. Remove from heat. Add cream and heat for one more minute, add vanilla.
Remove sides from frozen pie and slice. Pour about ¼ cup of hot topping over each slice.

Personal Notes:
This dessert is guaranteed to have your guests moaning with pleasure. Every time I serve this my friends freak out and beg for the recipe. It looks complicated but don’t let it scare you. It’s very easy and worth the effort.
