Ingredients: 1 1lb. yellow cake mix 1/2 lb. Powdered sugar 1/2 cup sugar 2 Tbsp. melted butter 3/4 cup cooking oil 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup sour cream milk 4 eggs 2 tsp. cinnamon 3 Tbsp. sugar 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:Mix together 2 tsp. cinnamon, 3 Tbsp. sugar, and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Set aside. Combine cake mix, sugar and sour cream; Mix well. Add eggs one at a time. Mix well after each. Pour half of batter into greased and floured tube pan. Add 1/2 of the cinnamon mixture. Add remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon mixture. Bake 1 hour in 350º oven. Make a glaze with the powdered sugar, vanilla, butter and add enough milk to make a thin consistency. Allow the cake to cool a few minutes before removing from the pan. Drizzle the glaze over the cake while it is still warm. |

Notes: This cake is in memory of my grandma, Oma Kansas Maze-Johnson. Grandma gave me this recipe years ago. Grandma loved her sweets, so I guess we all came by that honostly. She and I sat at the table talking many time while enjoying a piece of cake, or anything else that was in front of us. What I wouldn't give to be able to sit down and talk to her again. I have a lot of questions I would like to ask her that I never thought of while she was still here. She would have loved the fact that we are making a cookbook with all of our family favorites.
