2 C. Flour
1 C. Sugar
3 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1/3 C. Butter, softened
1 C. Milk
1 Egg

½ C. Chopped Nuts (optional)
1/3 C. Packed Brown Sugar
¼ C. Flour
½ t. Ground Cinnamon
3 T. firm butter
Mix all ingredients until crumbly. Keep in refrigerator until ready to use.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare Streusel. Beat remaining ingredients on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 2 minutes. Spread half the batter in a square pan, 9x9x3”. Sprinkle with half the Streusel. Top with remaining batter; sprinkle with remaining Streusel. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes.

Kim’s Note: I usually put all of the above batter in the bottom of a 9x13” pan and make a second batch to go on top of the Streusel. I usually triple the Streusel recipe. Baking time increases to about an hour.
