Chicken Corn Chowder Recipe

4 slices bacon
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. thyme
3 T. flour
3 c. half-and-half or milk
1 1/2 c. cubed cooked chicken
1 - 10oz. pkg. frozen corn
1 medium potato, diced
1/2 c. chopped red bell pepper
2 c. water
2 T. chicken flavor instant bouillon or 6 cubes
1/4 tsp. pepper

In saucepan, cook bacon until crisp; remove and crumble. In drippings, cook onion and thyme; stir in flour until smooth. Add remaining ingredients except bacon, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 30 minutes. Garnish with bacon.
Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
