1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup of crisco
3 eggs
1 tsp of vanilla.
3 cups of flour
2 tsp cream tarter
1 tsp of soda

icing
¼ tb butter softened
pinch of salt
1 tsp of vanilla.
4 cups of powdered sugar
½ to 1/3 cups of milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat, sugar, crisco, eggs and vanilla together and beat throughly. Sift 3 cups of flour, 2 tsp cream tarter and 1 tsp of soda. Add to the above mixture. Knead together. Mixing well. Roll mixture out on a floured table top until about ¼ thick. Cut out round cookies. Place on greased pan and bake 8 – 10 minutes at 325 degrees. Icing. Blend together ¼ tsp of butter softened with pinch of salt and 1tsp of vanilla, add 4 cups of powdered sugar and ½ to 1/3 cups of milk. Mix well. Top cookies with icing.
